Alecta is the answer to a simple question. How to reach absolute performance in a floor standing design with a cabinet size still suitable for a living room. Cabinet is made out of 40 and 50 mm multilayer wooden sandwich that combines high mass and optimal resonance absorbing behavior. Two solid and heavy metal plates, connected each other by steel threaded bars, model a really stiff cage for largest cabinet sides. The cabinet finish is made by hand sewn leather. Tweeter, midrange and woofers are from most performing line of speaker units from German Accuton brand, the Cell Line. All these drivers have pure ceramic membranes and special ring shape magnet systems that ensure minimal sound reflection on the rear of basket and the lesser energy storage, for best time response. Tweeter and midrange are both installed on a massive aluminum plate for the best stiffness of coupling. Bass loading follows the classical Albedo tradition of transmission line design. In this case, two twin but separated Helmholine labyrinths are arranged in order to have a perfect symmetry of bass path for the two woofers. Four large stainless steel spikes ensure precise leveling and rock solid stability for the best reproduction of micro transients.
